Bashô Cycling Club is a Portuguese handmade brand for detailed outdoor bags, created by Joana Janeiro and Gonçalo Baptista.

After years of working as architects, we decided to create our own project, based on our personal need of joining function and style.

Inspired by the spirit of the travel diaries of Japanese poet Matsuo Bashô, our mission is to increase comfort and efficiency while carrying and organizing personal things, around the city, travelling or cycling.

We create products that are inspired in different cultures, fusing contemporary and traditional patterns, with functional design to complete your lifestyle. All bags are designed and handmade at our workshop in Lisbon, with a small production, that leads to limited series.

For us cycling is the perfect way of travelling in and out of the city, so most of our designs are also bikeable.

If you prefer a customized model, you can choose the color and the pattern for your bag, and we will produce it in about a week.
